Sarah Richardson

Dr Sarah Richardson is a globally-recognised education expert with 29 years’ experience in education. She is currently the Research Director of Surveys and International Assessments of the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER), where she leads a wide range of educational research projects across multiple education levels and themes, including Australia's participation in PISA, PIRLS and TIMSS. Sarah has worked for ACER for 11 years, and was previously Deputy CEO and Research Director of ACER's office in London, UK (2019-2021) and Research Director of ACER's office in New Delhi, India (2016-2019). She has led educational research projects in multiple countries around the world in topics including assessment, evaluation, comparative education policy and international education. Sarah regularly disseminates research findings in publications and conferences. Her most recent book entitled ‘Cosmopolitan Learning for a Global Era: University Education in an Interconnected World’ was published by Routledge in 2016.
