Associate Professor Vincent Gomes is a lead researcher in the emerging areas of Polymer Science and Engineering and novel applications of polymeric nanocomposites. In particular, his focus on colloids and controlled/living emulsion polymerisation has provided new insights into the design, monitoring, scale-up, optimisation and control of such complex, multi-phase reaction systems. The development of polymer nanocomposites based on carbon nanotubes and graphene have led to the development of novel sensors and catalysts.
