Dr. Sameer Valsangkar is an academician and public health physician with a career spannning over 15 years in the health and development sector. He obtained a dual Masters Degree in Public Health from Western Kentucky University, USA and a Doctor of Community Medicine in India. He has worked in cardiovascular medicine, occupational health and in academia, guiding undergraduate and postgraduate medical, pharmacy and nursing students in their research. He has conducted and directed a variety of research in occupational health, maternal and child health, HIV/AIDS, quality of life studies, nutrition and has published in several indexed international and national journals of repute. He has designed, operationalized and implemented public health projects in close collaboration with the government in several regions in India.
