Profile overview
Abhishek Sharma is a Doctoral Student in Korean Studies at the Department of East Asian Studies, University of Delhi. His research focuses on the evolving Geopolitics of East Asia and the Indo-Pacific Region, focusing on India-South Korea relations and Indian Foreign Policy. His research interests also include the intersection of Gender and International Politics, particularly in Feminist Foreign Policy, Environmental and Digital Peacebuilding, and Nuclear Disarmament.
Since 2020, Abhishek has worked with organizations such as Our Generation of Inclusive Peace(OGIP), United Network of Young Peacebuilders (UNOY), and Global Peace Hub working in the field of Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) Agenda and Youth, Peace and Security(YPS) Agenda at regional and international level.
As part of his doctoral project, Mr. Abhishek is researching ‘Analysing the Puzzle of North Korea Cyber capability and its geostrategy.’ He holds a First-Class Master’s degree in International Relations from the South Asian University, New Delhi. His writing has regularly featured on South Korean Foreign Policy, North Korea-China relations, Quad, Indo-Pacific, and India-South Korea Defense relations for recognized web portals. These include 9Dashline, South Asian Voices, Modern Diplomacy, Eurasian Review, The Geopolitics, ORCA, ISSF and Eastern Interest.
