New Delhi student awarded PhD scholarship for diabetes research

Sumaira Khan, a student from New Delhi passionate about improving health outcomes for vulnerable communities, has been awarded the second Shah Rukh Khan La Trobe University PhD Scholarship.

TheĀ four-year scholarship is aimed at supporting aspiring female Indian researchers to make significant global impact.

Sumaira's PhD research will focus on enhancing healthcare for South Asian migrant women in Australia, who are at high risk of Type 2 diabetes.
