La Trobe partners with India's largest biotech start-up hub

La Trobe University has signed a memorandum of understanding with Bangalore Bioinnovation Centre (BBC) – India's largest biotech start-up hub.  

Supported by the Victorian Government, La Trobe will open a new Bio Innovation Hub and Digital Innovation Hub this year, connecting researchers and early-stage companies within the sector. The collaboration will create a pipeline of innovations as start-ups.  

BBC is a translational research and entrepreneurship centre. It is a joint initiative of Department of Biotechnology, Government of India and Department of Electronics, IT, BT and S&T, Government of Karnataka.
