Mechanism for the Mutual Recognition of Qualifications

Australia and India have signed the first ever Mechanism for the Mutual Recognition of Qualifications between the two countries.

The agreement means that an Indian student can be sure that an Australian University degree will be recognised in India.

The recognition of education qualifications is set to expand cooperation in education and research between the two countries.

The Australian and Indian Education Ministers also reaffirmed their commitment to establish an Australia India Working Group on Transnational Partnerships to further opportunities for greater institutional collaboration.
